| HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Since the Korean invasion is very much on and still going strong, one brilliant mind came up with the idea of establishing a salon that would cater the needs of Koreans and give them the satisfaction that they are like in their own country. The idea was put into action where a sole proprietor took the challenge of opening a salon in 2001 that is located in Remedios Street, Corner, Guerrero Street Malate.
Opening such a salon needs a name that could catch attention and should be easy on the eyes. The owner then used the names of the two pioneer Korean hairstylists named Tony and Jackey. The names used really hit the market since most of the customers ask for both of them. As the salon continues to serve its customers with satisfaction, more and more people want to experience to have Korean hairstyle.
Every company has difficulty on the few months of function or yet has a hard time keeping with the industry. Tony & Jackey Beauty Salon undergone such stage wherein they also have to get along with and adapt to Filipino needs. It was not long enough that Tony & Jackey Beauty Salon adjusted and became stable in its industry.
As Tony & Jackey Beauty Salon became widely known for those who have an eye for hairstyle, it made to a point where the sole proprietor had to go on for the next step which is to branch out. So planning has been made and it became a corporation last January 31, 2006. It was registered as a corporation under Security Exchange Commission (SEC) with 60 percent Filipino ownership and 40 percent Korean. Since then, it opened three (3) more branches in Manila and one (1) branch in southern part of the region, in Cebu.
Tony & Jackey Beauty Salon have had only one outlet in the country since 2001. It started as a five-seated, one-shampoo station salon in Remedios Street Malate, Manila. But now, Tony and Jacky Beauty Salon is growing and taking on the bigger slice of the salon-going market due to its armory of hairstylists and quality service.
Because Tony & Jackey Beauty Salon is taking the challenge, it has opened four more branches; (1) in West of Ayala Building, Buendia Makati, (2) in G.P. SY Building 57 Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City, (3) in C.T.T.M. Square Tomas Morato, Corner, Timog Avenue, and (4) in Festival Mall 2nd Level, Alabang.
